Why are we looking for ourselves, outside of ourselves?

Within us, our world lies

Its only us who deny

Seeking the true us

We ignore the inner, thus

fall victim to hopelessness

Never going to be happy, unless

Someone assures the beauty of us

But why do we have this urge?

have you wondered what feeds this monstrous

creature, which is crawling and growing 

like a fungi within us,

infecting our nature and making us blind,

quenching it's never ending thirst,

 it has left us paralyzed,

 to the world outside

and we, enslaved, do nothing 

other than what it desires

Maybe this 'find yourself' is a trap to distract us from real us. Maybe the real is what we are exactly right now but not how they want us to be. Maybe they need us to think this way. Maybe they need us to feel this urge to look for ourselves.

Maybe our true self was never gone but captured by their trickery and ignored by our ignorance. Maybe we were never meant to be found because we were never lost.
